Trent Derr

President & CEO

Trent Derr has held leadership roles in the software industry for 20 years. Trent's experience includes sales, marketing, professional services, hosting, and product development in multiple verticals including Energy, Manufacturing, Retail, Distribution, and Healthcare. Before joining Syntex Management Systems, Trent was most recently chief operating officer for P2 Energy Solutions and chief operating officer and co-founder for Novoforum. In addition, Trent has held senior positions with SAP, Oracle, Software 2000, and PriceWaterhouse.


Joe Stough
Executive VP of Product Strategy

Joe Stough is the visionary and strategist behind the IMPACT Enterprise® suite of solutions. Trained as an Information Technology Management consultant and statistician, Stough has led Syntex to fulfill a niche in the database software application market by providing solutions that successfully apply mathematical concepts and software technology to dramatically impact Enterprise Risk Management on a global basis. Recently recognized for his leadership and vision, Stough received the 2003 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Technology & IT Services Sector for the Houston Region. Stough also holds a bachelors degree in mathematics and a masters degree in applied statistics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.


Jeffrey Baldwin
VP of Alliances and Technology

Jeffrey held management positions for several oil and gas exploration and production companies for 15 years as well as senior positions for Oracle and P2 Energy Solutions; both providers of global enterprise software applications and tools for 11 years prior to joining Syntex. Jeffrey has a myriad of experiences some of which have included leading a professional consulting services organization, providing business development and leadership for an application hosting business line as well as providing oversight and management of companies information technology infrastructure.


Bryan Evans
VP of Services

Bryan Evans brings both a wealth and depth of industry experience in managing large projects and delivering new products to market across a variety of vertical markets. Prior to joining Syntex Management Systems, Bryan held senior management positions at SAP America and PriceWaterhouse. While at SAP America, Bryan was responsible for managing multiple projects for Fortune 500 customers.


Kip Carter
Director of Industry Solutions

Kip Carter has a Bachelor of Science degree and over 17 years experience as an Environmental Health and Safety professional, working for multiple Fortune 500 companies and the federal government in positions such as Compliance Safety and Health Officer, Industrial Hygienist, Health and Safety Manager, and Employee Health and Industrial Hygiene Manager. Since joining Syntex, he has held several positions in selling and implementing Syntex’s flagship product IMPACT Enterprise® such as Configuration Consultant, Project Manager, Solution Engineer and Account Manager. Prior to accepting the current position, Kip was a global Account Manager for several of Syntex’s key customers.


Emily P. McAnally
Director of Development

Emily joins Syntex Management Systems from Quorum Business Solutions, where she was responsible for product development, support and professional services of the Energy, Marketing and Transportation business unit. Prior to her role at Quorum, Emily held leadership positions with Severn Trent Systems, ADAC Labs, EDS, and Texas Instruments. She brings nearly 24 years of technology experience to the role, twenty of which were spent in the commercial software industry. In 2002, she was recognized by the Association for Women in Computing with the Leadership in Technology award.


John Mercadante
Senior Director of Product Management

John has over 11 years of experience in designing and optimizing technologies to drive business performance. John brings a wealth of expertise in diverse technologies, from client server to system integration and e-commerce applications across multiple industries including Healthcare, Telecommunications, and Energy. He currently heads the product team and is responsible for directing the development and QA resources and maintaining the IMPACT Enterprise features and functionality. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems from Palm Beach Atlantic University.


David Ranucci
Director of Sales

David brings to the position over 12 years of strategic selling experience with numerous enterprise software leaders in the areas of software sales and sales management. Prior to joining Syntex Management Systems, David held roles of increasing responsibility at SunGard Energy, LODESTAR Corp, and Automatic Data Processing. At Syntex, he is responsible for leading the Sales Executives, Account Managers, and Inside Sales teams towards increasing market awareness and customer value, as well as achieving other key company goals and objectives. David graduated from the University of Houston with a BBA in business management.
